About me
Fun facts
I started my career in journalism before cutting my teeth in concepting and campaigns at Chicago ad agencies. A gig in qualitative consumer research with Brandtrust turned me onto the psychology of the subconscious and the art of branding. I’ve worked on the brand side ever since, bringing brand narratives to life by telling a bigger story. In my spare time, I study method writing, and am working on a memoir.
I once ghostwrote a letter of recommendation from Moby. I got through the 2008 financial crisis by writing obituaries. My first print feature was about a Chinese gang in Oakland that produced some of the best hair stylists of the 1970s.
